Understanding Android File System

For most Android devices, users will have read-only access to the system files and have full access to any mounted storage card. If you rooted your device then you will have super user access to the system files. AndroXplorer Pro provides standard file access to storage card and limited root access to your device's system file. Some Android devices support two storage cards: usually a built-in storage card and an optional user-installable storage card. As far as Android operating system's concerns, the optional storage card is a non-standard, external mount storage. Different Android device manufacturers provide different mount paths for this optional storage card, there is no standard path that two manufactures seem to agree on. To address this issue, AndroXplorer maintains a shortlist of the most widely found paths and hardcoded into the application. In case that the correct optional external path is not properly located, you can find it in the system, usually within /mnt folder, and set this path accordingly in the application settings.
